I was not sure until the last moment that I would go, because first of all I aimed at 999 Miglia and it was not very clear if I could make it both ways, but as a result, in April I waved my hand and decided, whatever happens, at that moment one of the CT participants refused and I paid my fee and got my starting number. The most economical option to get from Rome to Biysk was a flight to Kazan and a further trip through the homeland in a second-class car in which I took a ticket to the same compartment that Volodya and Valera from the BZ.

Adventures began on the road - after a nervous transplant in Sheremetyevo, where due to a well-known transport collapse huge queues formed, upon arrival in the capital of Tatarstan, I did not find my bicycle. The problem was that my train to Biysk departed at 7:40, and the nearest flight from Moscow arrived at 9, so I entrusted the fate of my bike to an experienced person in Petersburg, with whom I stayed in touch, and went to the city on the first minibus. Marshrutka was a pacifier, which stopped in all villages along the road, eventually I ran out of the metro to the station square a couple of minutes before the train left and appeared before my comrades who had already decided that I would not be, and the question "where is the bicycle" , could only spread his hands in bewilderment.

As a result of negotiations between my experienced school friend and Aeroflot, the bike made a flight Moscow-Kazan-Moscow-Barnaul, in which the train was standing for 1.5 hours and during that time I drove to the airport with a local brutal taxi and reunited with the prodigal son.
